ABOUT
Jeff Poulos has worked for 40 years as a nonprofit and philanthropic professional and board member. He has extensive experience in strategic planning, executive leadership and organizational development, board development and governance, philanthropic advising, and meeting facilitation.
Jeff has served as CEO of Philanthropy Massachusetts, an association of foundations and charitable organizations, and as Executive Director of StageSource (the Greater Boston Theatre Alliance). During these tenures, Jeff led multiple strategic planning processes. Additionally, Jeff founded and stewarded the MA Community Foundation Partnership, a collaboration amount 15 community foundations in Massachusetts that included building a strategic alliance, co-programming, nonprofit capacity building, and co-learning. Jeff has advised private and public foundations, individual donors, and donor collaboratives. Most recently, Jeff has served as the Head of Partnerships at Impala, a business intelligence platform for philanthropy providing tools for prospect research, due diligence and philanthropic sector analysis.
Jeff started his career in the arts with professional positions at Huntington Theatre Company and the New Repertory Theatre. Additionally, Jeff served on a number of boards including as chair of United Philanthropy Forum, Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (as treasurer and director), Arts Services Coalition of Boston (as chair), Massachusetts Advocates for Arts Sciences and Humanities (as treasurer), and Mass Cultural Council's Advisor Corps. In addition, Jeff was a member of the Leadership Team of the national D5 Coalition on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Philanthropy, and in 2011, he was awarded the StageSource Theatre Hero Award for his long-time service to the Greater Boston theatre community.
